Nope. The LaTeX-run will spit a big fat warning:

Package caption Warning: caption.sty not available, using caption2.sty.

I don't know, if this is enough. Hmm, all people using an IDE (e.g.
Emacs) will see the log only on request. On the other hand caption2
is said to be more robust and bug free. Maybe we're doing them
a favour..

I would decide for readding the old caption to our packages to make
teTeX 2.0.2 reacting on all systems equally.
