Yes I think so too. That's what I meant. In fact I think that when I
installed testing in this computer, the version of tetex-bin was the
same as in woody (1.0.7).

Maybe... I don't remember... In any case I always examine the
differences between the conf files modified by me and the ones provided
by package maintainers. Of course I think that if I would have let
debconf manage language.dat then the problem could be avoided, couldn't
it? By the way, how can I configure debconf to manage language.dat?
Maybe dpkg-reconfigure tetex-bin?
