I shouldn't have missed this. I've put together a draft
upload-checklist, which I intend to go through for all subsequent
uploads. Comments and Suggestions welcome.

a) pbuilder woody:
1. plain tetex:
- install tetex-extra
- upgrade to new version
- remove all tetex-packages
- install new version
- purge all tetex-packages
- install new version
2. tasksel tex:
- install task tex
- upgrade to new version
- remove all tetex-packages
- install new version
- purge all tetex-packages
- install new version
