Package: tetex-base Version: 1.0.2+20011202-2 Severity: important hi I am trying to upgrade a woody box to sarge; in woody I had installed TeTeX and txfonts and pxfonts. When I tried to upgrade, I got this behaviour: I issued # apt-get install tetex-bin and tetex-base warned me as follows: tetex-base has found /etc/texmf/dvips/updmap from a previous version of tetex-base. You seem to have modified this script. This script is no longer included in tetex-base and should not be used. It will be renamed to updmap.postinst-old. Changes previously made to this script should now be made to files in /etc/texmf/updmap.d/, see the manpage for update-updmap. But then I got this error Removing pxfonts ... chmod: failed to get attributes of `/etc/texmf/dvips/updmap': No such file or directory dpkg: error processing pxfonts (--remove): subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: txfonts: dependency problems, but removing anyway as you request: pxfonts depends on txfonts. Removing txfonts ... A solution may be if tetex-base would leave updmap around, maybe empty, or leave a symlink a. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7-1-k7 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages tetex-base depends on: ii dpkg 1.10.18.1 Package maintenance system for Deb ii texinfo 4.1-2 Documentation system for on-line i -- debconf information: tetex-base/olddat: true tetex-base/fmtutil-failed: * tetex-base/oldupdm: tetex-base/updmap-failed: -- Andrea Mennucc "Ukn ow,Ifina llyfixe dmysp acebar.ohwh atthef"
