Suggested patch to updmap.man
Hi teTeX testers, hi Thomas,
I learned only today that if updmap is called with the options
"--enable", "--disable" or "--setoption", it changes
updmap.cfg. Previously I thought this was meant only for non-root users,
together with --outputdir, and had no permanent effect. I suspect that I
am not the only one who had this misconception. Otherwise
"update-updmap", a Debian-specific script that allows TeX-related
packages to add their font information to updmap.cfg, would probably not
have been invented.
Therefore I suggest the following patch to updmap.man. Perhaps the
addition of the paragraph is enough, and with it we don't even need to
add "Permanently" with the options.
