Hi,

I have, indeed, attached two identical copies of the "good" file. I've
posted a followup to the bug (look for my message with 'Subject:
Correction' above). I am also attaching it once again to this message. I
have looked through the "bad" file, there is a following suspicious
snippet in it:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% The following languages are disabled by default. Uncomment, what you
need.
% To enable, remove and the space.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% French and German, TWO lines each!
french frhyph.tex
=patois
german dehypht.tex
=austrian
For use with ngerman.sty (neue Rechtschreibung):
ngerman dehyphn.tex
=naustrian

Now, the line starting with "For use with ngerman.sty" is clearly a
comment line and should begin with a %. That is what probably causing the
breakage in the postinst stage. Now it's only to figure out, how it's
generated...

Best regards,
