Thank you. It is reading /usr/local/share/texmf/dvips/config/psfonts.map
instead of the file provided by the Debian package. Do you have the file
/usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/psfonts.map? And if yes, what happens if
you remove (or rename) the one in /usr/local, run texhash and try dvips
again?
