Frankly, I don't think it is currently useful to have non-Type 1 fonts
in a separate package. So the name you are proposing would seem to be a
good idea, except that it may help maintain the confusion between the T1
encoding and Type 1 fonts. So, tetex-extra-type1fonts? And why not
simply tetex-type1fonts or tetex-type1-fonts?
