Bug#232056: tetex-base: problem generating mf.base after upgrade

This is strange, because it does - at least it should.

Please tell us the output of the following commands on your system:

ls -l /usr/bin/texconfig
ls -l /usr/share/texmf/web2c/fmtutil.cnf
fgrep TEXMFMAIN /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf
fgrep /usr/share/texmf /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf

Are you sure there was enough space on the /var partition when you 
upgraded tetex?
