it seemd the following message was important
> Warning: pdflatex (file tipa10): Font tipa10 at 600 not found
After "latex tipabug" and "dvips tipabug" (at this point,
tipa10.600pk was generated), I tried "pdflatex tipabug"
and "xpdf tipabug.pdf" then \textvbaraccent was displayed
correctly, perhaps.
Is this a bug of pdflatex or simply a feature of pdflatex?
