Package: tetex-extra
Version: 2.0.2-4.1
Severity: normal

I have a texmf tree in $HOME/texmf. When tetex-extra (and tetex-doc) is
updated, the ls-R files are regenerated, including $HOME/texmf/ls-R.
However, the latter file is then owned by root.root.

I would send settings in texmf.cnf, but it turns out I now have three of
them, and I'm confused as to which one is actually used. However, they
all include lines saying:

  HOMETEXMF = $HOME/texmf
  TEXMF = {$HOMETEXMF,$TEXMFLOCAL,$TEXMFOLDLOCAL,!!$TEXMFMAIN}

Note that I run aptitude using sudo.
