Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.7+20011202-7.1

Setting: i386,Woody, latest dist-upgrade very recent.
Affected package: tetex-bin 1.0.7+20011202-7.1
Discription of bug: package did not install cleanly, apt-get install
ended with error 2 in Shell says:
"Richte tetex-bin ein (1.0.7+20011202-7.1) ...
install-info: failed to lock dir for editing! Datei oder Verzeichnis
nicht gefunden dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von tetex-bin (--configure):
Unterprozess post-installation script gab den Fehlerwert 2 zurück
Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
 tetex-bin
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"
Sorry, it's german.

After incomplete install tetex-bin could not bei cleanly removed or
reinstalled, not with apt and not with dpkg.
Bad situation.
My solution was: removing /var/lib/dpkg/info/tetex-bin.postinst
After removal of .postinst package tetex-bin could be installed cleanly.

Bye

Stefan

Hi Hilmar,

thanks for your reply.
Somehow i forgot to answer earlier, sorry.
The problem was me.
I some must have deleted /usr/info.
After recovering /usr/info from a backup problem was solved.

Thanks for your reaction to my problem.

Bye

Stefan
