Bug#178622: tetex-bin: Cannot change pool size to compile large files
Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.7+20021025-8
Severity: normal
Tags: sid
I am unable to get certain large files to compile under text version
1.0.2+20021025-7. The error message I receive is typically
! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [parameter stack size=6000].
This is after increasing all relevant parameters. It seems that the
6000 here is some sort of intrinsic limit. Initially it is 1500 but
when I
increase what look like the relevant parameters
param_size = 25000 % simultaneous macro parameters
save_size = 25000 % for saving values outside current group
stack_size = 25000 % simultaneous input sources
it gets no larger than 6000.
Note that I had no difficulty with version _1.0.2+20011202-2
and earlier -- simply increasing pool_size to a large enough
value allowed (and allows) me to compile the same file.
Am I missing something with regard to the parameters, or has something
got messed up somewhere?
