I got no idea but, Gianluca, I would like to know;

is this /var/cache/fonts/pk was generated automatically
or created by you manually?

Now you could get tetex-bin 1.0.7+20021025-4, perhaps.  
What happened if you upgraded tetex-bin?  Is there still 
the problem?
