Ah, I misunderstood that tetex was the upstream teTeX.

The change of tetex-* of Debian will be done, perhaps,
in the next week.

You mean both files are registered as conffiles?
Then they will remain in a system after when a user 
removes jadetex.  I guess this might be a problem.
