Bug#79213: no texmf.cnf file: cannot install tetex on up-to-date woody
Hi all,
today, after a short skiing holiday, i tried updating tetex. Using the tips from Cyrille Chepelov i did
dpkg --purge tetex-bin
unset TEXINPUTS # i don't know unser, Cyrille probably made a typo
apt-get install tetex-bin
I got this
Selecting previously deselected package tetex-bin.
(Reading database ... 32710 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking tetex-bin (from .../tetex-bin_1.0.6-7_i386.deb) ...
checking for old tex packages ... none.
Setting up tetex-bin (1.0.6-7) ...
mktexlsr: Updating /var/lib/texmf/ls-R...
These messages soon disappeard showing a dialog box:
teTeX setup utility
'/usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/config.ps' does not exist.
The programm will show you the error-log and then exit.
<ENTER> makes these messages appear:
/usr/bin/texconfig: /tmp/texconf5484/logfile: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing tetex-bin (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
This looks like the same bug as before, with some slightly different symptoms...
Still hoping you can help,
Sander
