The "bug" only occurs with PseudoColor visuals.  If your video card
has (typically) more than 8 bits per pixel, this won't occur.

Not fixed by me, either.

I suggest you either close it, saying it's not a bug it's a (missing)
feature, or move it into the wishlist category.
