I'll look today -- I downloaded them last week, but will check to
make sure I have the most recent version.

Believe me, I'm not wedded to my own -- I posted the pages so that
people who wrote or actually use the tools could give me feedback
or write better pages!

It sounds like a bug.  But why are you using that, anyway?  The
whole point of using Yodl is that you don't have to use the troff
commands -- if you want alternating bold and normal type, you just
do ``bf(this stuff is bold) this stuff isn't em(and this stuff is
in italics)''.
