I just uploaded this new LaTeX as latex-cur-20000601 package 
to Debian JP.  I have maintained latex-cur since 1999/06/01
version for Debian JP.  Thanks for your information.

If someone is interested in latex-cur, please visit

ftp://ftp.debian.or.jp/debian-jp/dists/woody-jp/main/binary-i386/tex/

or add apt/sources.list

deb ftp://ftp.debian.or.jp/debian-jp woody-jp main contrib non-free

(but perhaps it will take a bit more time).

Note that you should remove latex-cur by hands if tetex package
adopts LaTeX 2000/06/01 (sorry!)
