I am using Intel Pro 1000MT and get on 32bit
PCI-Bus with 33Mhz not more then 400~450 MBit.

Now, my FileServer is connected to one of the four GBit Ports of my
SuperStack III, my postgresql, Devel-Station and Multimedia-Station
to the other 3 GBit Ports.

On the 10/100MBit Ports (24 max) I have Workststions and Servers.

Now I have attacked the FileServer while riping a DVD on my Multimedia
Station, compiling a Kernel on my Devel-Workststion and transfering
stuff from other Workststions...

Hell, what a power of FileServer with its 1,2 TByte of Diskspace
(3Ware Raid-5, 4 x IBM/Hitachi 400 GByte)

The FileServer gaved me around 900MBit permanent.

I am using a Tyan-Mainboard with P4, PCI-X Slot 66MHz and 64 Bit.
Both slots are Bus-Master.

Greetings
Michelle
