Re: Debian instalation stable version

Is the kernel configured to ignore ICMP?

  $ /sbin/sysctl -a 2>/dev/null |grep -i icmp |tail -1
  net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_all = 0

Can you do TCP communication and/or DNS?

Justin

Thanks Justing for answer me.
Sincerely I don't know, I used all the default configuration of the stable version, as the matter of facts during the instalation process I don't have chance to reconfigure this parameters.

Even during the instalation process I thought,
!Ok, maybe the PC onboard card is not compatible with this debian!,
I put a Tricom's network card, and tried again to install from the beginning using the minimal CD and selecting the second card, the same problem after that.
