Will that (auto)create /media/cdrom1 ?

Also, does anyone know what causes /media/cdrom0 missing ?
A symlink /media/cdrom->cdrom0 exists, but cdrom0 is missing.
cdrom0 is a static ATAPI unit, not hotplugged.
