Re: umount: devfs: not mounted

Hello,

I have similar problem with DebianInstaller,
so I have a naive question:
do you mean that it works with `lilo' ?

Thanks,
Jerome

This is my first experince with GRUB and thought it was a problem with
it.

when I boot with my new kernel, I get the following and freeze,

modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modukes/2.6.7/modules.dep: No such
file or directory
umount: devfs: not mounted
pivot_root: No such file or directory
/sbin/init: 424: connot open dev/console: No such file
Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!

Do I have to specify initrd in my /boot/grub/menu.lst ?
How can I create a initrd image?

Thanks!
