problem compiling pcmcia with 2.4.20 kernel (testing distribution)

Hi, I successfully compiled a 2.4.20 kernel, but when
I try to compile the pcmcia modules it fails.

I am using the command: 
make-kpkg --revision=custom.1.2 modules_image

I have pasted below the end of the output from the
compiler before it fails, but I noticed warnings
flashing by earlier too:

I would appreciate any suggestions as to where I am
going wrong.
