Yes, this needs to be solved, perhaps with an ugly hack, I don't know
how.

Now that #188043 is fixed, I'm sure it'll appear with the longer
language lists. If it doesn't, please file a bug on languagechooser.

I'm not sure what happened with these messages, but cdrom-detect is
working now, so I hope we can forget this problem.

> Why is the main menu text shown?

Because cdrom-detect has not set its own debconf title. I'm not sure
individual udebs should do that or whether we should have a generic
title like "Debian GNU/Linux $(version) ..." I think the latter is
better.

Seems so, that's strange.

> Why do I have to hit enter to continue the install?

Are you asking why the note is displayed, or why you have to hit enter
for the note? The note is displayed because you're at priority low. The
reason you have to press enter is that it's a debconf note, which are
interactive by nature. You acknowledge that you've seen it.

Please file a bug on cdebconf about this. The paging code is in the text
frontend.

Can't be done with the progress bar implementation, I guess we could log
it to tty3 though.

Because all the kernel modules can't possibly fit on the installation
medium. :) We have to do the hardware detection/module loading in two
steps.

Exactly, the default should probably be set to the empty string every
time the question is asked.

Missing depmod call... :/

I've actually managed to track down this segfault now. :-) I'll upload a
new version of partconf soon that should fix this.

*No* idea. The program segfaults, who knows where segfault exitcodes
come from?

Thanks,
