problems with debian/testing/2.4.19-386 and reiserfs

Hi,

I installed debian on my PC. There was no reiserfs by default so I added one (latest I could find). And severe problems began:

historically:

0) I was given warnings while fscking my reiserfs partitions (option a not supported, sorry, not implemented etc.)

1) Files (of course, the most important) *disapeared* from some folders.

2) Some others just got DESTROYED while copying (wrong md5)

3) I went down to mkfs.reiserfs. Works, but if I rund fsck.reiserfs *RIGHT AFTER* I get mentioned already warnings and the partition is not checked.

4). dmesg gives me things like this:
read_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on (dev 16:46, block 64, size 1024) read_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on (dev 16:46, block 8, size 1024) read_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on (dev 16:46, block 64, size 1024) read_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on (dev 16:46, block 8, size 1024)

5) during bootup I see:
Partition check:
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: [PTBL] [5005/255/63] p1 p2 p3 < p5 p6 > p4
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0: [PTBL] [15017/255/63] p1 p2 p3
/dev/ide/host0/bus1/target1/lun0: [PTBL] [9733/255/63] p1 p2 < p5 p6 > p3 p4
ext3: No journal on filesystem on ide0(3,2)

I didnt use ext3 so far...! (it's not referred to in fstab or whatever)

=============

What the hell is going on? Does reiserfs simply suck?? I can at least do mkfs.ext3 and fsck.ext3 without problems... Raiserfs just worked fine with my SuSE 8.0....

Did anyone have similar problems? PLease, comment.

Thank you
