problem installing SSH after fresh install

I'm new to debian, having used RedHat for a many years, and having tried
Gentoo as well.  I've tried this twice and each time I get the same
result.

Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/libopenldap-runtime_1%3a1.2.12-1_all.deb
 /var/cache/apt/archives/netbase_3.18-4_i386.deb

I choose simply a DNS server in the list that came up after the reboot.
Please forgive my vague descriptions as I don't recall all of the names
of the programs at this point.


Any one have any suggestions as to how I might resolve this problem?
