One more addition when discussing the geographical locations:
* News / Au Gratin (gratin restaurant, good meals, not that many
non-gratin meals, good view onto all the traffic, crowds and
construction sites around main station ;-)

On the first floor just opposite of Zurich HB (main station), about
5 minutes from ETH Zentrum / Uni Zentrum. My recommendation if
something very close to main station is needed.

No, you were right in geography. It's quite outside. You just don't
know the tram lines and schedules.
Langstrasse / Kreis 5 as well as Oerlikon center are both about 15
Minutes from ETH Zentrum, Uni Zentrum or ETH Hönggerberg.

mentioned locations. Die Waid is the one closest to ETH Hönggerberg.
Hiltl is the farest from ETH Hönggerberg or Uni Irchel but about only
10 Minutes from ETH Zentrum / Uni

If everyone else is fine with Cheyenne, I won't object, since I like
the meals there, too.
