Right, but what does this have to do with Reply-To headers?

People should just decide to hit either "list-reply" or "reply" and
then everything works just as it is meant to be.

No, it is definitely not accepted. It's widely regarded as broken
"solution" for an already solved problem. See the List-* headers.
