[SUA 133-1] Updated linux version

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Debian Stable Updates Announcement SUA 133-1 https://www.debian.org

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Package : linux
Version : 3.16.51-3 [jessie]
Importance : medium

The update to the Linux kernel included in the recent point release of
Debian 8 "jessie" unfortunately caused it to crash at boot on some
systems with more than one CPU socket.

This update resolves that issue. If you are affected by the problem, we
strongly recommend that you install this update. As a temporary
workaround, you should be able to boot an affected system by adding
"numa=off" to the boot parameters. For example, if you use the GRUB
boot loader you can press E at the boot menu and add "numa=off" to the
line that begins with "linux".

Upgrade Instructions
--------------------

You can get the updated packages by adding the stable-updates archive
for your distribution to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

 deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-updates main
 deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-updates main

You can also use any of the Debian archive mirrors. See
https://www.debian.org/mirrors/list for the full list of mirrors.

Installation on Affected Systems
--------------------------------

The Debian Installer will not be updated to fix this issue until the
next point release. If you need to install Debian 8 on a machine that
is affected by this issue, you can use either an 8.9 installer image
or the workaround explained above.
