Well, I was sure the installation didn't work either. But after rebooting, the GRUB
version in the boot menu was bumped. So the bootloader was most likely rewritten.
I will have a look with a hex editor later to see whether there is an ELF binary
now. It should be possible to see the ELF header starting at sector 0.
