We could actually set this one up as a buildd for sparc (32 bits) which is still on my TODO list. In order to be able to do that, we will need additional people who are willing to dedicate some time for supporting the port. Aurelien Jarno, who is the "gate keeper" for the Debian Ports infrastructure, asked me to present a team of at least 3 people who would be willing to dedicate some of their time to the port. The more, the better. I would be in and Helge Deller (the main porter behind the Debian hppa port) would help me. Is there anyone else here who has some experience hacking code who would be willing to help? My intention to revive "sparc" is because it uses the V8 instruction set as opposed to the V9 instruction set used by "sparc64". V8 supports more software (e.g., JavaScript JIT is not supported on V9) and more older hardware. Cheers, Adrian -- .''`.
