Thanks for your quick reply. I am pasting the required information
below. I also tried remote login to the machine and see if it responds
over ssh, I have found that as soon as i issue the command to start
GDM, ssh session freezes while ping responses are received and telnet
to port 22 connects but openssh banner is not seen.
Also, Xorg.0.log file is not updated at every failure. The log pasted
here is of the last but one X start attempt.
