In Debian you can use mdadm to create your RAID array, fdisk to 
partition it and mkfs to create a filesystem on your partitions. I 
don't remember ever hearing about sfdisk, cfdisk rings a bell, but I'm 
pretty sure fdisk has the same functionality.
