interfaces with identical MAC addresses

Does anybody have a solution for this problem?
Probably I need a way to disable generation of persistent network
interfaces rules at install time for specific systems.

Please Cc me and/or the bug if appropriate, I am not subscribed to
debian-sparc.

The same problem broke my Sun network config.

On Suns, it's normal to have one global MAC address on all NICs (derived
from Host ID). With current Debian unstable, it works OK on first boot
but then eth0 and eth1 get records in z25_persistent-net.rules and on
next boot eth0 stays eth0 but eth1 is renamed to eth1_rename and my
machine is unreacahble since eth1 is not configured.
