ntpd and debian-sparc

Hi all,

i'm trying to put my debian/sparc SunBlade 100 in the ntpd pool, but it
doesn't works at all. I suspect that the sync with the main server is
not ok. In syslog, I have about every 15 minutes:

ntpd[5266]: frequency error 512 PPM exceeds tolerance 500 PPM

and then it's like if the ntpd sync restart from zero.

I also have see in /proc/interrupts:

  0: 280826850 timer:dead

What's the meaning of timer:dead ?

Is someone running successfully a ntpd server on a debian/sparc ?

Thanks in advance for your help.
