RESOLVED: sparc32 problems with libc6 and 2.4 kernel
I changed the repository hosts on all entries:
>From 'http://ftp.us.debian.org/' to 'ftp://http.us.debian.org/'
The only part I changed was the host, the rest of the sources.list
remains unchanged.
Like magic it is all working now.
Thank-you for all your support, I can now finish my study on symmetric
processing.

I only have woody sources in my sources.list, with the exception of what
is mentioned in the ap-kernel-upgrade-howto.en.html.
zlib1g is depending on libc6, which is the constant I have faced form
the different options that I have explored.

The sarge installer (rc3) seems to have issues with unimplemented
assembler calls when the kernel boots. This prevents me form
selecting/installing certain kernel modules during the installation.
The 2.6 kernel images seem to panic before loading the installer (init).
