My feeling is that the Creator 3D is best supported for the time being.
I run my Ultra 30 with a Creator 3D and a Matrox Millenium I in a Dual Head
configuration. The Matrox is a lot slower and it took some fiddling to get
it working (solution to be found in this Newsgroup). As the driver is the
same for the Mystique, G100, G200, G400, G450 and G550, I suppose they
should work as well, needing the same tweak. You could try your luck with
one of these younger Matrox cards.

do I know if these will be supported by X(Sparc) nor if they work at all.
You might consider running in a double head layout as well. Why not using a
card which is already in the system as a second display?
