Not true, people can and do use PC style boot blocks on their
Sparc systems all the time.  You just can't use one easily on
the partition you wish to boot from, that's all.

In fact this is a major feature, in that you can attach x86/Linux
disks up to your Sparc to examine them and retrieve data.
