Debian sparc is for questions / support / development that is directly
relevant to computers running SPARC processors. Your questions seemed
more general; setting up NFS on Debian/SPARC is no different to NFS on
Debian/x86 - and thus isn't really a question for here.

Your question is unclear. What do you mean by read? Also are you
interested in file systems or partition systems?

Linux can read both Sun and x86 disk labels / partition systems.
OpenBoot can only read Sun style disk lables and (AFAIK) windows can
only read x86 disk labels. If you mean read as in 'take the disks out
of the E250 and put them in a Windows machine' then this is a problem.
If you mean read as in 'via the network' then it is not.

There are drivers for windows to read/write ext2/3 filesystems AFAIK.
Again this is only an issue if you intend to remove the disks from one
machine and put them in another. Windows does not (again AFAIK, I am
not an expert) have any drivers for Linux style software RAID so you
would not be able to read them from a windows machine. Ofocurse if you
mean read via the network then this isn't an issue.

Depends on what cards / hardware you have in it.

Pick the most appropriate filesystem for each OS / hardware combination
and share them via the network, for most problems anything else is extra
hassel.
