SCSI-problems with kernel 2.6.2
Hello!
I'm desperatly trying to get kernel 2.6.2 (debian unstable) running
properly on my E450 (2CPU, 1.5 GB RAM) but I'm running into problems
with the SCSI-driver (sym53c8xx_2, version 2.1.18f). Everything comples
fine and when I boot the new kernel it hangs due to SCSI-timeouts/resets
on sym0.
I have disconnected the cdrom and I'm currently only using one disk
placed in slot0.
If I use kernel 2.4.24-sparc64-smp (compiled by debian-folks with
sym-driver 2.1.17a) everything works as it should so I don't think that
I have some hardware problem.
Have anyone experienced the same or happen to know a solution?
I've tried moving the PCI-card around and even without it, but it
doesn't matter, so it must be the internal SCSI-controller on the MB
that the driver dislikes...
