If you're compiling it you'll need the -dev packages for everything it needs too, they contain the headers and archives for linking. But why are you compiling it anyway? There are cyrus21-* packages in both testing and unstable.

I am trying to get that compiled in my IPX/Debian, without much luck. For instance, it cannot find openssl even though AFAIK it is installed (it is a bit had to ssh to the machine without it. =). Could I annoy you regarding that?
