nmap -O 192.168.1.0/24 (or whatever range you know think the
sparcstation is on) to find all the hosts and operating systems that are
in your network.  It should be trivial to figure out which IP address
belongs to the sparcstation from the list that you get back.

Another option is to use a network protocol analyzer like tcpdump or
ethereal to sniff for the IP address, or at least some ARP or gateway
traffic that you can deduce the address from.
