problems compiling kernel 2.4.21 on unstable

Hi
I have a problem with compiling kernel on my Sun Blade 100 with 
Debian unstable...I'm getting this

init/main.o(.text+0x8): In function `check_bugs':
: undefined reference to `_mcount'
init/main.o(.text+0x28): In function `rest_init':
: undefined reference to `_mcount'
init/main.o(.text+0x68): In function `init':
: undefined reference to `_mcount'
init/main.o(.text.init+0x10): In function `profile_setup':
: undefined reference to `_mcount'
init/main.o(.text.init+0x6c): In function `checksetup':
: undefined reference to `_mcount'
init/main.o(.text.init+0x10c): more undefined references to 
`_mcount' follow
make[1]: *** [vmlinux] Błąd 1

make: *** [stamp-build] error 2

after gcc -v I have
