I'm pretty sure it crashed the box when I tried it.

You can contact The MathWorks and ask if it's available.  Their website
says that Linux is "supported in /full/" (their emphasis), so I'm sure it
wouldn't be a stupid question.  Be very specific, though.  I asked them
about a year ago, and some saleswoman was ready to sell us a version for a
different hardware platform without a thought...
