xpdf must be invoked in the context 
of X.  The command must begin with
something to start X such as startx.  
I tried these.

startx xpdf -fullscreen
startx 'xpdf -fullscreen'
startx `xpdf -fullscreen`
startx "xpdf -fullscreen"

In all cases X starts and then immediately
quits.  I need to find the right syntax 
so that the argument for xpdf is handled 
properly.
