OK, I tried that and it is marginally better.
I can bring the interface up, it auto negotiates and then after, say
30 seconds, it locks up hard instead of locking up immediately. :(
I'll fiddle around with some kernel settings to see if it makes a
difference. I wish I could at least see a panic message or something.
