FW: SPARCstation 5 (sun4m) and 2.4.17 on Debian 2.2r4

Hi,

I have just downloaded the latest CVS kernel from vger.samba.org which

Fixup f f017dc54 refers to weird instructions at
f0012c6c[922a6007,c839a290] Program terminated

Here are the details from /proc regarding my Sparc:

Where did you get the kernel from and what did you compile it with
(compiler, binutils, modutils)? The late 2.4 kernels (17, 18-pre) look
pretty good here on sun4m. Ben is right that sparc patches are expected
to appear on vger cvs earlier than the mainstream kernel.
