console-{tools,data} errors during pkg configuration

I'm running a SunBlade 100 on a serial console -- no keyboard or monitor
is connected to it. The last couple days during 'apt-get install'
sessions, I've been seeing the following errors:

--- begin ---

Setting up console-data (1999.08.29-21.6) ...
No default for console-data/keymap/unknown__polish_/layout - picking one
No default for console-data/keymap/dvorak/layout - picking one
No default for console-data/keymap/type_4/layout - picking one

If you have information about what choice should be the default for the
above questions which gave warnings, please mail me this at dirson@debian.org.

Thanks for your help.

dpkg: error processing console-data (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 71
Setting up console-tools (0.2.3-23.1) ...
Looking for keymap to install:

Couldnt get a file descriptor referring to the console
dpkg: error processing console-tools (--configure):

--- end ---

Is this simply related to the fact that I don't have a traditional
console? I can't see any side-effects to these errors, but are there any
gotchas that might be waiting to pounce? :-)
