The default on Sun is to use the system MAC address (the one in the boot banner) for all NICs. With Solaris, you can override this by setting the OpenBoot parameter "local-mac-address?" to be true. However on my SS20, even with this parameter set, the NICs still have the system MAC address... go figure Jim
